Readlight is a completely free application with no advertisements. We offer optional support purchases (both one-time and subscription-based) to help us maintain and improve the app. These purchases are entirely voluntary and do not affect your access to any features of the app.
- Optional Support Options: Water, Coffee, Tea, and Teapot are optional purchases that allow you to show your appreciation for the app. These may be available as one-time purchases or subscription-based options.
- No Premium Features: All features of Readlight, including screen light, bookmark tracking, and sleep timer, are available to all users at no cost.
- Voluntary Support: All support purchases are completely optional. The app functions fully without any purchase.
How to Access Optional Support
Optional support purchases can be made within the app. All purchases are processed and managed entirely by Google Play Store or Apple App Store, depending on your device platform.
No login required. No additional configuration is required. All purchases are handled via the respective app stores and are subject to their terms and conditions.
Pricing and Billing
Pricing for optional support purchases is displayed in the App Store / Google Play Store at the time of purchase and may vary by region. Support options may be available as one-time purchases or subscription-based options.
Subscription Renewal and Cancellation
If you choose a subscription-based support option, subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple ID account settings (for iOS) or Google Play account settings (for Android) after purchase.
Refunds
Refund requests for optional support purchases should be directed to Google Play Store or Apple App Store support, as all transactions are processed through these platforms. Please refer to their respective refund policies.
2. Data Collection and Usage
Readlight is designed with privacy in mind. We use third-party services to help us understand how the app is used and to improve your experience:
- Firebase Analytics: We collect anonymous usage data to analyze app performance and user engagement. This helps us understand which features are most used and how we can improve the app.
- Firebase Crashlytics: We collect crash reports and diagnostics to improve app stability and fix bugs. This helps us ensure a smooth reading experience for all users.
- RevenueCat: We use RevenueCat to manage optional in-app purchases. RevenueCat may collect purchase data as required to process payments and manage your account. This data is used solely for transaction processing.
Important: Readlight does not collect any personal information, reading data, bookmarks, or any content you create within the app. All data stored on your device (such as bookmarks and preferences) remains on your device and is never transmitted to our servers.
3. Local Data Storage
Readlight stores the following data locally on your device:
- Bookmark Information: Your bookmarks and reading progress are stored locally on your device and are never shared with us or any third parties.
- App Preferences: Your brightness settings, color themes, and sleep timer preferences are stored locally on your device.
This data remains on your device and is deleted when you uninstall the app. We do not have access to this information.
